Growing up I would hear my mother say and pray…”I Plead the Blood of Jesus over this house for deliverance and protection”. “I Plead the Blood of Jesus over my family and I will not fear what the enemy can do unto me”. Me: Huh? I was clueless. And, wonder what blood can do to protect anyone. If anything, the blood would be spilled everywhere. I watched my mother use oil in a bottle and place a cross on the door post of each door and the front door going in and out. She didn’t know it … But she was teaching us “How to Use Pleading the Blood of Jesus for Protection”. The scripture says … “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin”. 1 John 1:7

My thoughts. Mom, what are you doing and my friends are coming over and will see these crosses everywhere. Better yet. As I got older, my boyfriend would come over and notice all the oil and wonder what kind of ritual or nuance was going on in this house?

I didn’t understand the pleading of the blood of Jesus until I got older and started experiencing my own problems. Whew! The devil didn’t mind my age. He wanted to lead me to making bad decisions early. And, yes, I’ve had my share of them. But, I never understood why, until I had my own personal storms and my own family. Now, it’s clearer. To have peace and protection in your home and in your mind is everything. 

Wait a minute. I didn’t say it was perfect. You’ll have peace. Amplified Bible And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours]. That’s exactly what I was seeking. Peace. So, I learned early how to Plead the Blood of Jesus over my life for protection and soon realized it was “A Weapon of Protection”. I could carry with me everywhere I went. Everything about me and that pertained to me was blood covered. 

Glory! [That feeling you get when you know God has been good to you]. 

You see. I grew up knowing there was something in the Blood of Jesus because my mother spoke it so often. I just didn’t recognize the Power in the Blood. 

Today, I’m still assured. It will never lose its power. So death, where is your sting? O’grave where is thy victory? 

Pause. Stop reading now. I’m going too fast. You can’t be blood covered and protected if you have not given your life to Jesus Christ. You are a robber and a thief. You can’t have something that doesn’t belong to you. God has a way for you to get access according to Roman 10:9: Amplified Bible because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. There is life in the Blood of Jesus; you’ll never experience a greater protection. There is no greater safety than that of the precious Lamb of Jesus Christ

However, during my younger years growing up, we “caught” my mother teaching us how to plead the Blood of Jesus to cover and protect us. It worked for her. Later, it was “taught” in my church and I wanted to go deeper in understanding why Pleading the Blood of Jesus was so important to my life. Yes! It has kept and protected my family from all evil.

Don’t panic. Pleading the Blood of Jesus is not in the Bible. But there is MUCH principle behind it and the intentions and acts of using “Pleading the Blood of Jesus” gives you the strength to have faith over fear.

Another way to describe the Blood of Jesus is to apply the Blood to a situation. There’s nothing you can’t plead the Blood of Jesus against for protection. You have been blood purchased so everything you have is covered by the blood. Satan doesn’t want you to recognize that. There’s deliverance in the Blood. When you plead the blood, you have put your confidence in the word of God knowing that He will do as He has promised. 

As a result, Jesus’ Blood paid it all for us on Calvary.

To effectively Plead the Blood of Jesus, first, you need to know what you’re doing. You have to learn the weapon. The word of God. You can’t use something you’re unskilled at and expect to get results. It doesn’t work that way. Our nation is facing a crisis. The Coronavirus. In Exodus 7-12, there were 10 plagues described in the Bible that were simply disastrous that God brought on Egypt because Pharaoh refused to let the Israelite nation leave.

In short, I believe this is what our nation is facing today because we will not repent. (This revelation is for later.)

Nonetheless, Pleading the Blood of Jesus should be a part of our everyday lives. We shouldn’t just Plead the Blood of Jesus when times are tough or when we’re in trouble and need God’s protection. It should be our daily practice. 

You can Plead the Blood of Jesus over any person or situation. As you and your family are preparing for the day, lay your hands on their heads and say, “In the Name of Jesus, I plead the blood of Jesus over [say the individuals’ name].”

If you’re having trouble on your job or with your co-workers, say, “In the Name of Jesus, I plead the Blood of Jesus over my mind and every individual [call their name if the spirit leads you] I come into connection with that we walk in divine peace. I like this one as I do it often because I’m in the car a huge amount of my time…”In the Name of Jesus, I plead the Blood of Jesus over this vehicle and all who are going to be with me today. We will go and return in perfect sa

You can plead the blood of Jesus over your health. There was an older woman that attended our church many years ago. I learned that she lived in a basement. I heard her say, “I plead the Blood of Jesus over my health, wellness and I will live a long life no matter what my living conditions looked like.” Everyone around her expected her to complain and become ill soon. But, instead, she pleaded the Blood of Jesus against any harm coming to her health. She lived in that basement until death and lived a long life untouched. That’s the power of the Blood!

You can plead the Blood of Jesus over your home for protection and safety. When you apply the Blood of Jesus to your home for protection and safety, you are disarming the devil and every planned he has attempted against you. You have set clear boundaries for the enemy and you are daring him to cross those Blood boundaries. It stops demons in their tracks and removes all wrong spirits from working against you or your family. In the Name of Jesus.

Secondly, you can Plead the Blood as often as you like.

Here is an example of what I say during my prayer time:

Father, thank you for always hearing my prayers and allowing me to walk in your divine favor. Because I recognize without you we’re all men most miserable. So, I use your Blood from the cross to protect against every tactic and fiery dart of the enemy. You have not left us ignorant of his devices. Therefore, I plead my cause before you because I have been justified through your Blood. In the Name of Jesus.

I Plead the Blood of Jesus over my life, my home, my family, over all of my affairs, and over all who are attached to my purpose. I desire to steward and host your presence in my life. I Plead the Blood of Jesus on over the portals of my mind, my body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and my emotions. Nevertheless, I’m confident that I am protected by the Blood of the Lamb, and nothing shall by any means come to harm me and my family.

I declare no weapon that is formed against me shall prosper because this is my heritage as a servant of the Lord. I Plead the Blood of Jesus over my childrens destiny, my grandchildren and others that are connected to me. I decree and declare they will live long lives.

Lord, You said that the life of the flesh is in the Blood. Thank You for being the life sustainer, for Your Blood has cleansed me from sin and shame. I am now a partaker and joint-heir to the Kingdom. In Jesus Name, Amen.

As we speak the Blood of Jesus over our homes and our families, we are setting a boundary for the enemy. We are telling him this is as far as he can go. And, no further. Because of the Blood of Jesus. It offers divine protection in every aspect of our life. 

In Exodus 12:22-23, Take a cluster of hyssop, dip it into the blood in the basin, and brush the top and the two sideposts of the doorframe with some of the blood. None of you shall go out the door of his house until morning. When the LORD passes through to strike down the Egyptians, He will see the blood on the top and the two sideposts and pass over the door; so He will not allow the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down. 

Undoubtedly, God is saying today, He has given us His son Jesus Christ. Jesus was pure and had no blame or defect. He took all of our sins, shame and died and rose for us. His Blood was shedded so we can put it on the doorposts of our homes through Pleading the Blood of Jesus. 

In addition, when the enemy and his demons pass by, nothing shall harm you because you are a child of God. Don’t be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; neither for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Psalm 91:5-7. 

Why? Because the Pleading the Blood of Jesus has wonder-working power. 

In conclusion, start the practice. Every day and night, pray for your household before starting your day and going to bed. This means that your whole house is fortified and protected by the Blood of Jesus. You will continuously be guarded by an army of heavenly angels and filled with the presence of the Holy Spirit. There will be a peace that will be overflowing from every corner of your house. 

There is a greater power when Jesus is the center point and focus of your home and life. Also, take the time to gather with your family to pray with you so they can hear what you’re saying in prayer. They’ll “catch” it and hopefully be led to “teach” it. So, start gathering together for prayer. It should not be an option for your family. It’s a necessity for the believer and for your protection.

Get your house in order during such a time as this. The knock of Christ is at our door. Are you ready to answer? There is one thing that we as believers should be doing every day. Praying!

We don’t know what tomorrow holds. In Revelation 16:15, Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. Be watchful because God is coming soon. Only God will be able to sustain you and give you peace in the midst of this troubled world.

When God is on your side, who can stand against you? When the Lord Almighty is your fortress, who can oppose you? We have no limits as children of God, no Goliath, no Red Sea, no Pharaoh. Nothing can limit our God.

We serve a Big God. 

Finally, as believers, we need to be sensitive to the behaviors that are going on in our home and around us. The attitudes and the temperaments around us should align to God’s word and His will.

Subsequently, we have been given a blueprint of how to overcome the enemy. The devil nor his demons can stand against the cross or the Blood of Jesus. 

Above all, instead of focusing on what you don’t have or where you can’t go. Be anxious for nothing (Philippians 4:6). Don’t let the enemy have your peace. Stay focus–Anything that has your focus the enemy will try to destroy it. Keep it covered and protected under the Blood of Jesus Christ.Now, take a bold stand today and Plead the Blood of Jesus over your situation. Pray without ceasing 1Thessalonians 5:16-18. God has equipped you with all you need for this fight. Use your weapon. Pick up your sword! Prepare to fight.
