How do you look at life? Are you worried about something happening to you and your family, losing your job, not being able to pay your rent and that bucket list gets longer by the minute?

Well! Anxiety, worry, fret, distress, agitation, tension, irritability are all common emotions of man and those emotions affect our outward look on life, the decisions we make, and ultimately the direction of our lives will eventually go in if we don’t stop worrying.

Matthew 6:19-34. Jesus tells us not to be anxious and full of worry. He wants us to live our lives differently as Christians. He doesn’t want us making decisions based on fear of the future. He desires for our focus to be on our eternal hope rather than temporal things on earth.

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Jesus clearly tells us not to worry and to be anxious about anything. We spend our days worried about clothing, food and taking care of the body. None of these are wrong to think about. But, when we worry about what our brother has and we compete desiring those same things, we become anxious and unproductive in life. We also become frustrated and agitated because God is not supplying those needs fast enough.

God is not trying to take care of a few things for us. He wants to take care of us through eternity.

And, “who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?” “And, why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?”

God doesn’t deal with time. He provides for us as we need. So to worry is senseless! “Who of you can add a single hour to his life?” This clearly shows us we’re not in control of anything. We can’t help ourselves nor add any value to our situation when we worry about it. So, why worry? We can’t do a thing about it. that.

Solomon, the richest and most magnificent king of Israel. Even in his fines of kingly attire, he did not exceed in his clothing. God dressed the flowers of the field and took care of them. “They didn’t labor or spin.”

So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

Have you ever heard that saying “Keeping up with the Joneses?” We’ve all been there. We’ve looked at our neighbors, co-workers and our enemies and desired to exceed them. But, it’s not God’s will. Our heavenly Father knows what we have need of before we ask Him.

God has committed Himself to take care of us. He has given us the Bible to demonstrate all of His promises toward us. They are yes and amen.
So, Are you worried about nothing?

Sometimes what you think you need. You don’t need. Many of us go to God and tell Him what we need. He may not give it to us right then or at all because He knows exactly what we have need of. Don’t focus on material things. God is more than enough. Keep in mind. Where your treasure is, your heart will be there also. God can’t work with us, when we desire the material things, more than we desire the things of God.

Listen! If you want worry to go vanish from you, you have to look at God as the supplier. He will supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory. God’s storehouse never runs out. But, when we become unfocused, we’re not looking at things through the word of God. Simply put! We’re faithless. God can’t work when we don’t have faith in Him.

Believe: Untried faith is unreliable faith!

In closing, I encourage you to seek the kingdom of God first, and His righteousness and everything will be added unto you. Matthew 6:33. (KJV)
If you want your needs met, don’t worry. Just live your life daily obeying God. Commit your heart to grow in His Christlike character. Everything else will be added unto you. God is going to provide for me.

Well! I hear you saying again. You don’t know my circumstances. I don’t have to know your circumstances. But, God knows. He is going to take care of it. You do not have to worry.

God is able to make all-sufficiency abound toward you. Make this confession with me…”Today, I promise to stop worrying and I set my focus on the living God that loves me.” In Jesus Name Amen.
